WePay is making a considerable investment in our Infrastructure Site Reliability Engineers and we’re looking for a capable and proven manager to lead the team. This investment is a result of a vision of how to manage the lifecycle of our infrastructure and cloud assets which has backing by both WePay executives and Chase Cloud Security teams. As the Infrastructure Site Reliability Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for driving the projects to make the vision a reality.
Toward that end, you will also work with other engineering teams to keep the priorities and requirements of the infrastructure projects in alignment with the rest of the organization. You will work with the security team on encryption, auditing and scanning. You will work closely with our application teams and our application embedded Site Reliability Engineer's to make sure our infrastructure requirements are satisfied and clearly communicated.

All of engineering is focused on re-architecting our applications and infrastructure to handle this growth. As the manager of a growing and talented Site Reliability Engineering team, you will be leading the execution of the transformation of our infrastructure. We are looking for someone who is passionate about managing infrastructure with a proven record of delivering large and complex projects. We want someone who has "hands-on" experience technical expertise whose developed a passion to help a team succeed in delivering big and complex projects.
You will be responsible for creating the security and trust that our applications are running in a safe, well thought out and reliable infrastructure. One of the most important measures that will determine WePay’s success is the reliability and ease of use of our infrastructure. The whole company realizes this and putting forth a huge investment to make it happen.
What We Are Looking For
- Strong Unix/Linux skills
- Act as a scrum master and help break down large and complex tasks in deliverable units
- Good communication skills and know how to identify the crux of disputes
- Understanding of monitoring and alerting best practices
- Solid understanding of patterns for highly available infrastructure systems
- Demonstrated knowledge of how to lifecycle infrastructure services
- Ability to write software to solve complex infrastructure problems
